The following treatments are all classed as facial aesthetics treatments and can benefit patients in different ways.
Examples of facial aesthetic treatments include:
- Anti-wrinkle Treatment: contains botulinum toxin, which temporarily blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles. The muscle then ceases to contract, making wrinkles relax and soften. Anti-wrinkle treatment can result in younger-looking skin with less fine lines and wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle Treatment is most commonly used for areas of the face like forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eyes) and frown lines.
- Dermaroller: treatment uses a device that’s rolled across the skin, which triggers the body’s own healing response. This process results in smoother, younger-looking and more collagen-rich skin.
- Dermal Fillers: are injectable gels used to fill deep wrinkles and folds that exist across areas of the face. The fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a substance that exists in the skin naturally and is responsible for retaining water and keeping it youthful-looking. As we age, the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid depletes, causing the onset of wrinkles and folds.
